Closing thoughts on 2022…

Hi all,

It has been a one more year of great learning. Thanks to this universe and every non-living and living energies I interacted with this year. You all enriched my being 🙂

Love to you all and this passing year 2022!

I anticipated to do regular posts on a monthly interval. I had so many dreams and ideas to accomplish this goal in terms of this blog. But life had some other plans and goals for me to accomplish. So I had to put my blogging on hold. I missed it. However, I come back with even more stronger desire to get back to blogging and allow myself to be malleable with whatever life brings with it and then share whatever I have with you, and not worry so much about its format etc. I can start and keep honing it.

This year was very interesting, my family members and I had to deal with health issues, insurance issues, and I got laid off etc. It was painful to go through all of that. Seemed somedays were more burden than anything. But I tackled all of it and came out even more stronger. I am back in workforce and made some significant lifestyle changes for my family and myself. And I plan to grow even more stronger and grateful with each second that is passing by. This journey is still work in progress, but the journey is in right direction. During this stressful time, my buddies were these wonderful books that left me with some new tools to manage my ever changing emotional landscape in a healthy way and some books refreshed my memories of a long forgotten things/days/habits etc. that I used to bring joy:

Gifts of Imperfection by Brene Brown – I loved the fact that she said that it is ok not to be happy or joyful all the time, there are times your are happy/joy/sad/or feel neutral and it oscillates from one emotion to the other. And its totally normal.

The gifts of Imperfection

Give and Take by Adam Grant – This book was full of practical advice on how not to get succumbed by the act of giving and come out refreshed and happy every time you give back to anyone or anything.

Book reference for Give and Take by Adam Grant

Breath by James Nestor – I swear by Yoga and Pranayama, it has very positive influence in my life. I can’t thank enough to these activities in my life to help me bring calm. And its funny how books make their way into our lives, I recommend this book to become a mandatory reading in schools at least once every year from middle school onwards.

Breath

Who moved my cheese by Spencer Johnson – Fun read and a book that emphasizes on attitude shift way of thinking when encountered by obstacles.

The Magic of Thinking Big by David Schwartz – I decided to read this book every year once, starting this year. I liked most of the practical tips in this book. It comes in handy to believe in myself especially in the moments of self-doubt.

Flirting with Fate by J.C.Cerventas and Tokoyo Everafter– OMG! I was back in high school days of crushing over my crushes 🙂 when I read these romantic books, Very refreshing

An Ugly Truth by Sheera Frenkel and Cecilia Kang– Big Tech Companies have lot more control in our society than we know. It was a very interesting to read how Freedom is interpreted by the diverse audience types, Tech Giants and its influence over really major things that shape our society. I highly recommend this book.

I close this year with a warm heart once again filled with lots of love, experiences, learnings, and dreams which are mostly centered around celebrating the well beings of all beings.

Please do share your closing thoughts for this new year. I look forward to it.

Love,

ATinyVillaonaHill
